Rental Policy

Rental Requirements
You must have in your physical possession a valid driver’s license and a major credit card in the same name at the time of the rental. If you plan on declining our waiver, please bring proof of insurance with you when you pick up the rental car.

Age Requirements
You must be at least 21 years of age or older to rent from Avon. All additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age as well. You must be at least 25 years of age to rent specialty vehicles. Please contact your Avon office for details.

Credit Card Requirements
You must have a major credit card in your name with a minimum of $300 available for authorization. Debit and Check Cards may not be used to rent a vehicle, but may be used to pay rental changes at the time of return.

Cards Accepted: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Discover.

Deposit Requirements
Credit card deposit amounts vary depending on the type of vehicle and length of the rental. Please remember that Debit and Check Cards may not be used to rent a vehicle, but are acceptable forms of payment.

Pick-Up & Delivery Service
Pick-Up and Delivery may be available within a 3 mile radius of our office. Minimum rental applies, so please contact the individual rental office for availability and restrictions.

Airport Drop Offs
Rental vehicles may be dropped off at various airports around Southern California. Please ask your rental agent about the availability and rates.

Driving Restrictions / Mexico
Vehicles rented from Avon must stay within the California borders. Special arrangements may be made by each rental office as to other destinations. Please note that any vehicle traveling outside the authorized area is subject to a surcharge and may be in violation of the rental agreement.

Cancellation Policy
All rental reservations must be cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled pick-up in order to avoid a cancellation fee.

Contract Dates / Extensions
You may be asked to return to the Avon Rental office in order to extend any rental agreement. Contracted rates may change once your original return date has passed so please contact your rental office for details.

Grace Period
Avon allows for a 1 hour grace period after your scheduled return time. Surcharges and full daily rates apply after the grace period has expired. Please refer to your rental agreement or call the rental office for details.

Fuel Charges
Vehicles must be brought back with the same amount of fuel as we initially provided. If not, re-fueling charges will apply. Fees vary depending on pump prices so please refer to your rental agreement for rates.

Child Seats / Boosters
Child and Booster seats are available for your rental needs. Availability may be limited so please make reservations in advance. Daily rates do apply so please ask your reservations specialist at the time of reservation for rate details.

Coverages
You may choose to provide Avon with your own personal insurance coverage to cover the rental vehicle or accept our Loss Damage Waiver at time of rental. Please note that it is the renter’s responsibility to confirm coverage for rental vehicles through their personal insurance.

Additional Drivers
All additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and at least 25 years old if renting specialty vehicles. There is no charge to add an additional driver to a rental agreement.
